My Little Pony: G5

Chapter One

Entry 1.0 MagicMan001

Aphid pawed the lush grass with her holed hoof, crooking her hind knees and taking deep, steady breaths. She lowered her head so her black scimitar of a horn was pointing forward. Filling her belly with one more deep breath and keeping it down, she threw her entire weight forward and charged horn-first at the tree.

She collided with the trunk with a low, dull thud, the tip of her horn becoming burrowing into the bark. When she opened her eyes, colors danced and swirled in front of her, until eventually the grey trunk came into focus.

Paw paw. Paw paw.

Aphid looked left and right just in time to see the greenish-yellow fruits landing on the cushiony grass, a big, juicy one rolling right up to her hooves.

Yanking her horn free, she scooped up the nicely ripe fruit and tore through the fleshy skin with her teeth to get to the refreshingly sweet pink inside. She spat out the little black seeds and licked the skin clean, seemingly oblivious to the sticky pink mess she’d made around her muzzle.

The newly grown forests on the outskirts of the Crystal Kingdom bore many an exotic fruit. Here in the harsh conditions of the Arctic North, not a lot of produce could be grown locally. Under the order of Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor, these magical forests were planted and sectioned into different climates so that fruits and vegetables from all over the world may grow in abundance for their citizens to enjoy.

And their daughter enjoyed her parents’ gift more than anypony else in the whole empire.

The little changeling princess trekked to the forests as she always did at the crack of dawn, ready to load up her big empty belly up with breakfast while everypony else was likely still asleep. The castle’s assortment of cereals and pastries didn’t really appeal to her. Besides, she liked the exercise.

Aphid ventured the forest’s climates many times, but tropical area was the one she frequented most often, because it was here where the tastiest fruit grew. That morning She feasted on the mangos, the pineapples, the melons both musk and water, but the paw paw had always been her favourite.

Her griffin nanny introduced her to it back when she was a grubling, cutting off little chunks from the freshly chopped wedges and feeding them to her while she wriggled and squirmed in her highchair. Whenever she behaved especially good, Grizelda would sprinkle orange juice on a whole wedge just for her.

Grizelda always told Aphid that the paw paw’s real name was ‘papa-ya’. But Aphid always called it ‘paw paw’ because of the sound it makes when it tumbles to the ground.

Paw paw. Paw paw.

As so.

She gnashed the precious yellowed stones into orange mesh in her jaws, shoveling down more and more instead of savoring the sweet, refreshing taste.

By the time Celestia’s sun started to approach its highest point in the sky, Aphid had long finished breakfast and was just polishing off brunch. Her belly, stuffed with such watery sweet goodness now reached her knees, her chitin turning pale grey and creaking under her weight.

She was soon parked her rump in front of a mandarin bush. Slowly, monotonously, she munched away at each and every last tangy orange until...

“URRRP!!”

The belch rolled up and down the trees and somewhere in the forest a flock of birds took flight.

“I think I’ve had enough,” she mumbled with a mouth full of rind.

Miraculously, Aphid found her hooves and dragged herself out past the forest clearing. The glare of the sun made her eyes squint out of reflex, but she made out the lush green plains of the Outer Empire and the narrow, winding dirt road leading from the Kingdom to the border at the foot of the slope on which she stood on the edge

Walking home was not going to be easy, but if she took a quick rest, she may have just enough energy to reach the castle steps before dropping stone cold.

That was when she spotted the plethora of rainbow ripples emanating from the castle tower. It dawned on her then and there that she’d forgotten the most important part of breakfast and brunch: her morning dose of love.

Her stomach cried out for no more, it was just so full. Mentally, Aphid kicked herself. Why did she have to eat like such a big piggie? Cadence kept warning her about overeating, but she never listened.

But... maybe she had just a wittle more room. After all, love was meant to be good for her. Eating more health food could only be good for her.

She straightened out her legs, unhinged her jaw and sucked down the love that was saturating the air.

It was delicious, sweeter than any fruit in the whole forest put in a blender and made into a smoothie with the little umbrella on top. Every cell of her being felt the surge, from the tip of the fringe of her wild green mane to the end of her dragging tail. Her jam-packed stomach suffered the brunt of the strain, expanding and contracting like a keg about to explode with fruit juice and liquified love.

A second, tinier burp escaped her mouth and she just ceased eating. It was then Aphid realized her hooves were no longer touching the ground. She looked down and grimaced when saw they were now pressed helplessly against the shiny grey mass that her belly had become.

She whimpered, her love-induced euphoria now replaced with a sharp pain akin to a million stitches. It was a whole new experience for the poor thing. A single morsel more and... and... well, she honestly didn’t know what would happen, but it couldn’t be pleasant.

All Aphid could think about was making her way back home. Momma and Poppa would be able to fix this mess she’d made of herself. Focusing whatever strength she still possessed, she thrust herself forward. Her head, legs and abdomen embarrassingly lurched first and her sloshing belly followed creaking soon after.

Her gelatinous mass rolled slowly, clumsily down the slope, coming to a sudden halt when she rolled into the groove in the ground that was the road.

Disoriented from her little tumble, Aphid could only make out the whining, jiggling belly blocking out the sun like an eclipse. She tried sitting up, but not only did her weight work against her, she found herself wedged firmly between the sides of the road. All she could do was wiggle her trapped legs.

In laymare’s terms, she was stuck.

Panic would have overtaken Aphid if fatigue hadn’t beaten it to the punch. Under the warm glow of the sun, her mouth opened wide in a comically loud yawn, before sleep overtook the poor darling.

The Changeling Crystal Princess at first looked an odd boulder obstructing the path when the merchant pony, hauling his carriage stocked with crystal berries, came trotting nonchalantly down the dirt road on his regular commute.
Hey everyone, I'm back to present you the first chapter of a new MLP round-robin story. This story is set in what I call G4.5/G5, taking place years after FIM's run, exploring the future of Equestria and the lives of the characters, old and new.

Like with Mr Boerewors and his maid Honeypot in the Badlands round robin, this scene with Aphid, Shining Armor and Cadance's adoptive daughter, is more than less the kickstarter. It's up to you guys where we go next.

Going by the same rules as 'Apart from the Herd', anyone is welcomed to write entries/jaunts/sessions/posts, describing the many stories that are sure to take place in this setting. Continuity is flexible, if preferably consistent; you can write both one-shot entries or long multi-parters, and other writers are free to pick them up and continue where it is left off if you wish to follow it up with something of your own. If you want to write multipart arcs, please have a title to go with it so it wouldn’t cause confusion. If you don’t want your ‘entries/sessions/jaunts/posts/’ followed up immediately (E.g. because you want to continue it later) or ever, please write a disclaimer at top or bottom of the text.

I'll post my guidelines shortly here, but no real rules or constraints exists. Now there's flexibility with what kinds of stories you'd like to tell, but just know that it's primarily a slice-of-life deal. Therefore, action, adventure, comedy, tragedy, drama, etc, are certainly welcome, but just don't forget what the robin is in its essence. Post your entries in the comments section as a new comment, and these entries will be compiled into multiple chapters.

Feel free to make inquiries or questions and I'll do my best to answer and help.

"And that is how Princess Luna and Celestia finished their 30th retirement after taking the thrones, and how Alicorn Royal has become increasing common and increasing the dividing-up of political power among 'princes' and 'princesses.

"And how Fluttershy started her 'villain reform school for villains who are obviously evil to the core' using Discord as her prime example. With Radiant Hope bringing Sombra back from the dead... again. And Cozy Glow finally getting therapy. And Chrysalis breeding a new army... and establishing a new hive... that happened to sitting on a giant magic crystal deposit just as a meteorite was headed straight for Equus, forcing us to accept her demand of her Hive being legally recognized as a sovereign kingdom. Though with her kingdom surrounded on all sides, all she does now is mostly sulk to her Hive and write hate mail to Princess Starlight."
